With an estimated 55,000 residents, Bentonville is the 9th largest city in Arkansas and Benton County's county seat. Originally named after the Osage Nation Native Americans, settlers first moved to the area around 1837, one year after the county was established. Eventually, Osage was renamed Bentonville after Thomas Hart Benton, a senator who strongly supported Arkansas' statehood.

If the great outdoors is more your speed, you wouldn't want to miss the Slaughter Pen Hollow Multi-Use Trail System, which has activities for a range of different fitness levels. Some of the favorite things to do here are bird-watching, hiking, and mountain biking. The views get more beautiful the further in the trail you get. Be aware, though; it is among the more difficult trails you can find. We are not just the mountain bike capital of Arkansas; in 2020, it was the world.
